"We see it now. We confess our blindness. We choose a new path."

These words form the refrain of a new song I wrote for Creation Time, which begins today.

For many years we have heard the songs of the birds, admired the beauty of forests and mountains, and enjoyed the fruits of the earth. Yet too often we forgot that all creation is God's gift and joins us in praising Him.

This Creation Time, from September 1 to October 4, let us pray for the grace of ecological conversion.

Let us thank our farmers and fisherfolk. Let us protect our rivers and forests. Let us respect every human person. Let us walk more gently upon the earth.

May our hearts join the hymn of all creation as we sing:

🎶 We see it now. We confess our blindness. We choose a new path. O Lord, lead us on. 🎶
